Brian Dorman started Dorman Timber in 1972 as a young entrepreneur. He bought his first logging truck at 17 years of age and traveled throughout the province to establish himself as a formidable businessperson in the forest sector. Through the years Brian took on challenges and grew the business from Trucking to full phase Contract Logging including Road Building, Falling, Cable Yarding, Mechanical Harvesting, Loading and Hauling, Dryland Sorting and booming. 

In 2005 Brian pooled his resources and acquired Tamihi Logging Co Ltd and Cattermole. As a Licensee, we continue to do our own engineering, logging, hauling, sorting, booming and marketing. We also offer forest management and engineering services to other Licensees as needed.

Western Canadian Timber Products Ltd continues to grow and be successful through many wonderful business relationships with many First Nation communities and Licensees throughout the Province. Providing meaningful, steady, long term employment for our crews and the communities we work in has always been a big part of Brians and the companies drive.

Moving forward, Western Canadian Timber Products Ltd is taking a leading role in safety, environment and the sustainability of the industry and the company. With his sons entering into key roles and plans for long term success, we are creating a very attractive environment for retaining and attracting employees into our team.
